This presentation describes the development of standardized definitions of child abuse and domestic violence across military branches. The presenters provide examples of ways community based programs can work together with military bases to prevent and intervene in cases of child abuse and neglect.
During this presentation, staff from DoDs Family Advocacy Program (FAP) and New Parent Support Program (NPSP) discuss child maltreatment and domestic violence issues impacting military families and children. Presenters describe FAP and NPSP and ways that they can support military families.
Presenters will introduce participants to the child abuse and neglect in military families in particular in the community and military partnerships.
