In this webinar, presenters discuss the need for an early childhood mental health consultation program within child care settings and describe the two type of consultation programs and the goals of each. The two types of consultations are child/family centered consultation and programmatic consultation. Additional topics addressed are assessment and evaluation tools, characteristics of a successful consultation, and cultural competent techniques that work. The presentation closes with a discussion of the challenges faced when developing a consultation program.
